André Aimaq, CEO (Aimaq & Stolle, Berlin)

 

André Aimaq is co-founder of Aimaq & Stolle and has 20 years of experience in the industry. He has won countless national and international creative awards, including several Cannes Lions. In 2000 he was a jury member at the international advertising film festival in Cannes. Film is his great passion. He directed his first short film in New York in 2009, which was shown in competitions at various film festivals (Hofer Filmtage, Max Ophüls Award, Rotterdam Film Festival and many more).

 

He began his career in 1988 as a trainee copywriter at Springer & Jacoby, followed later by positions at BBDO and KNSK. When he was 27, Ogilvy & Mather invited him to Frankfurt, where he became the youngest creative director in the agency’s history. A little under three years later he returned to Springer & Jacoby, where he created a number of multi-award-winning campaigns for the agency for Lufthansa, Manager Magazin and Postbank.

He went freelance in Berlin in 1998. To him, one of the most important challenges is linking classic advertising with so-called new media. The global campaign for the HEAD sports brand is a classic example of this.
